Allergen statement

Many of our customers are looking for gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free, nut-free, soy-free, or other allergen-friendly options. It's important to us that everyone can enjoy a treat from time to time, so we love to create custom recipes to accommodate your needs.

While we make every effort to prevent cross-contamination, our products are prepared in a kitchen that processes gluten, dairy, egg, nut, and other allergens. Please contact us if you would like to discuss a custom request.

Gluten-free baking

Members of the Grain Goddess family have celiac disease and other non-celiac gluten sensitivities, so we are practiced in gluten-free baking. We have many delicious gluten-free cookies, cakes, muffins, brownies, crackers, and more, and have even had some successful gluten-free breads, including cinnamon rolls. Learn more about our gluten-free flours.

Dairy-free baking

We LOVE butter, but can often accommodate dairy-free requests for cookies, muffins, crackers, and more. Our wedding typically cakes use real butter in the buttercream, but there are lots of amazing alternatives to experiment with these days. The cake recipes themselves are often dairy-free, so we can create alternative options using glazes or shortening-based/vegan butter options for those who still want buttercream.

Egg-free baking

Select products are available egg-free, but eggs are typically an important ingredient in classic French and modern American pastry. Our cake buttercream contains egg, so if you are looking for an egg-free event cake, we can discuss alternative options.

Nut-free baking

Most of our products are naturally nut-free, with a few exceptions (notably, French macarons always contain almond or another nut flour). In some gluten-free recipes, nuts become an important substitute, so if you have multiple allergies, we would be happy to work with you to create a custom recipe that fits your needs.

Chocolate Mix

Soy-free baking

Soy can be a very sneaky allergy because most chocolate products and pan sprays contain soy lecithin, an emulsifier that industrial producers use frequently. We try to keep soy products to a minimum in our kitchen, but please specify if you have a soy allergy concern so we can be sure to avoid any products that contain it.

Other allergies

If your allergy isn't mentioned here, know that we love to experiment in the kitchen and try out new ingredients and alternative recipe formulations. Feel free to submit our contact form to discuss your needs, and we will make every effort to accommodate you.
